How can I disable the sign in with Microsoft pop-up request on the upper right hand corner of the browser when visiting certain websites such as the Prevention, Mens Health, and other Hearst magazine websites? This pop-up has a blue button that says continue with my first name and if I click this button, it will automatically create an account and share the name and email address associated with the Microsoft account. It also says to visit www.microsoft.com/consent to manage permissions.

A screenshot would be handy. Making an assumption here: you're using MS edge and you are signed into it with a Microsoft account? Sounds like it wants to act as an identity provider for your access to other sites.

One would assume within the mess of settings in Edge, you could disable sign into other accounts using Microsoft, obviously not.

I’m curious, Keith, does tis popup show if you’re not signed into you Microsoft account in Edge? If not, I’d say the easiest way would be not browse when signed into your account. If as a result you are always prompted to sign into Microsoft whilst using Edge, there are options to stop this, apparently.

I’m not sure if it’s because it’s Christmas day here and I am not focused properly, but I can not for the life of me find a way to prevent websites from asking to use your MS details as a login. One would think for privacy reasons, this would be an obvious setting to have in Edge.

So far, the only way I can find is to A. Use the guest account option Fabler posted, or B. Stay logged out whilst browsing. How annoying.

Just click the X up in the upper right hand corner of the popup and continue with the site. This is the Site asking YOU to use YOUR information to login so they can sell YOUR data. Or at least send you marketing information.

BTW I just went to that site using Firefox...no popup. Went to the site using MS Edge and got the popup. Clicked the X to close the dialog and went around the site. Exited and then went back to site using Edge and the popup did not appear again.
