hi all today i turn on pc and size this s..t on disc C i dont install any programs or game so why it showing me this only 56GB free previous i have more than 120. any fix ?

i have windows 11 26100.2454

While of course it could be a failing drive, it is an extreme presumption with no more info than you gave us.
You did not say the size of your drive. In windows search type disk. Disk cleanup will popup. Run it as administrator. In the list of folders IF there is a "previous windows installation" make sure to check it along with the boxes that are already checked. OK

After disk cleanup finishes, right click on the drive and select properties. . How much used and free space does it show ?

Did you run disk cleanup as I suggested. What is the size of used vs free after you did that? Is there a "previous version " listed in disk cleanup?

It's Virtual memory, it's written to when there's not enough free RAM. Should be no more than installed RAM. You can lower it manually if you want to.

A 240 gb ssd has useable space of 223 gb. As windows evolves, it's space demands will continue to get larger. What with page file, hiberfile.sys, space assigned to system restore, the stuff you add to the machine, etc etc, a 240 gb drive won't cut the mustard for long. You might want to start thinking about a larger system drive, You could then use the 240 as a secondary drive or in an extender for external storage.

For several older versions of Windows the Swapfile/Paging file/Virtual Memory was recommended in Help to be 2.5 times the physical RAM then the last 2 or 3 versions it dropped to 1.5 times the RAM. Large spreadsheets, video editing, etc., could use more. For most consumers the default setting works fine.

One thing I pay attention to is having at least 20% free space on the drive. To help in accomplishing that I store most of my data, downloads, etc., on a 4TB NAS drive, 2 x 4TB drives set as RAID 1 for total 4TB capacity.
