Solved Small taskbar icons

Hi there.

In W10 I always used the small taskbar icons, as they give you more screen real estate and in my opinion look better too. When I upgraded to W11 I noticed the lack of this customisation option which definitelty dissapointed me

So I took it to Google, where I found a method through registry.. You create the key TaskbarSi and set to 0 for small icons 1 for normal and 2 for large (see image). Looks like Microsoft have patched this though, as when I did it, then restarted the PC and explorer.exe, nothing changed.

And so I was wondering if anyone else has a solution to this issue or if anyone is talented enough (unlike me) to create a solution through bat regedit or a program or whatever - I'm not sure what it would be.

VIVETOOL, and how to use it...

By enabling or disabling certain 8 digit "ID numbers", you can turn Windows 11 features ON or OFF. In many cases, Vivetool is the "only" way to enable/disable certain features. Make sure you use 3rd party backup software, before you start "tweaking" Windows. Official tutorial...

It is working but Search, weather and clock are all cut and disproportioned. Is their an adjustment method?

No. That's a Windows 11 issue that MS doesn't want to spend the time to fix.
They didn't want us using the small Taskbar either.
So they probably won't fix the clock... anytime soon. :-)


There's a program called: StartAllBack, that can supposedly resize the Taskbar without messing up the clock.
But I don't use it so...

I have installed Startallback, and it does the job very well. StartAllBack to fix all Windows 11 deal-breaking UI issues

On the website it has a download option, but also a purchase option.

I would recommend, but keep in mind that this is a trial.
