And unless someone has figured out a way... once you turn it off, you won't be able to turn it back on, without reinstalling Windows.
But really, that's not an issue. SAC is more trouble than it's worth.

Not necessarily. Does the new app version function or is it completely blocked? What's the app? Is it signed? How new is the latest version?

Either wait for some time to pass and the new version may be allowed (due to age, prevalence,etc.) and/or report the blocked app to the Feedback Hub. MS usually will do further analysis and come to a verdict in a matter of days. The latter is my advice.

Disabling SAC is not smart technical or security advice. It's lazy thinking. Blaming MS is too easy and too common on security forums.

That's supposedly changing in 2026, as MS has confirmed you will soon be able to enable and disable SAC without reinstalling Windows. Sounds like to many compatibility issues for me to even want to bother with it though.

I think many here can relate to this article on Windows 11 or at least certain aspects of it and MS's obsession with AI vs quality control, I know I can.

The App is Inkscape as mentioned in the Original Post and was released December 25.

@EB2XR6 Your app is probably not prevalent, which is one of the indicators SAC uses to evaluate a file.
