If you have an exclamation mark, that indicates a driver issue - either missing or bad. Period. My question is, does everyone have to address the exclamation mark next to 'other devices' in device manager that relates to the Intel chipset?
I followed the directions I found on the web and was extremely lucky to have fixed it. I read the chipset can destroy the pc if worked on it improperly.
My point is that it is in my opinion something non techs like me should not have to do.
So does everyone with Intel have to do this fix?
My suggestion is the visit Asus' site and download the chipset drivers for the board and install them.
And don't buy into the "this will destroy it". This is mostly pushed by those living the false belief that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". In the PC world this has gotten more people in trouble than some would have you believe. If a drive is missing or corrupt it needs to be replaced. Period.
