Snipping Tool: Confirm Save As prompt immediately closes out

I don't know what's going on, but this started just recently. Whenever I try to manually save screenshots to somewhere, the Save As prompt opens normally. But when I go to the location where I manually save certain screenshots to and hit the Save button, the prompt that tells me to confirm the save (since im overwriting a previous screenshot) immediately disappears before I can actually confirm it, thus not allowing me to save. Any ideas?

I wonder if your mouse button is bouncing or your mouse cable is damaged with the result that Windows thinks you have clicked once more.
I suggest you try with another mouse / trackpad to see if its behaviour is the same.

I've tried that. I use a laptop. I tried it with the trackpad and still get the same thing. My mouse is wireless, so no cable damage. Ive tried restarting the program and the computer and still nothing also. It lets me save NEW screenshots, but now no longer allows me to overwrite one

I suggest you do some similar save as routines with some other apps in order to decide if the problem is with the mouse/trackpad or with the Snipping tool. I suspect the latter.

I think the modern Snipping tool is an app that can be uninstalled-reinstalled so try that next.
[I still use the original Snipping tool from Windows 10 so am not familiar with the modern one.]

I tried doing it with notepad and I still get the same issue, so must not be Snipping Tool. I dont even know how to go about trying to fix this since I have a wireless mouse and trackpad lol

I'd delete all entries in Device manager, Mice and let Windows rediscover then reinstall their drivers.
If any of those entries contain a brand name then I'd also go to their support site to get a new copy of the driver's installation file.
