Discord and Snapping Tool on Windows 11, sometimes NOT working. no way to launch.

Anyone has a solution?

Google can return many solutions/tips (basically to kill its process in Task Manager). I have tried. none of them works on my Windows 11 (as Discord NOT showing up in Task Manager at all). I also tried re-boot. no help.

Sometimes, I needed Discord access and snapping use. had to move to Windows 7.

Make sure you have no corrupt system files that is causing this problem. Open a command prompt as administrator and type sfc /scannow
Pay attention to the scan results to see if SFC found anything it could not repair. If it found corruption it could not fix followup with this command (note the spaces)
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
Restart computer

If that does not fix it do a repair install. Repair Install Windows 11 with an In-place Upgrade Tutorial

Attempt the other command. dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
If it runs to completion restart and try sfc /scannow again.
If either of the commands fail the second time, do a repair install. You don't have a choice if file corruption is bad enough that even dism can't fix it..
By the way, if you have any third party app installed that alters the GUI,uninstall it first. (explorerpartcher, open shell, startallback, etc

You do not list your system specs so I do not know if you are running on compatible hardware or notnor do I know what version of 11 you are running.. If your hardware is not compatible the iso you download will have to be altered before an inplace upgrade (ie repair install) will be successful. If your hardware is 100% compatible the standard windows iso will work.
Also if you are running an insider version, be sure to download the appropriate iso for that version.
I strongly suggest you backup your data.

Goodness, it doesn't appear you have updated since 9/22.

EDITED- I see you posted back dism failed-go to step 5
I've thought more on this. Let me rectify my opinion. Here's what I would do.
backup your data
1. uninstall any GUI 3rd party app

2. from cmd as admin run dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
3.
If dism was successful, try sfc /scannow again. If it still fails run it one more time. If you can get it to pass, see if your issues are resolved.

4. If dism was unsuccessful, sfc will fail so no need to run it again. You're too corrupted.

5. Instead off a repair install I think a clean install is more appropriate.

6. Download official windows 11 iso from here. Scroll down to section marked Download Windows 11 Disk Image

7. Use Rufus 3.22 to build installation media per this article. Make sure all the incompatibility boxes are checked in Rufus settings.

8. perform clean install per this tutorial Clean Install Windows 11 Tutorial

I forgot to add that you must stay disconnected from the internet during the install or it will fail.

Thanks,

I was struggling. what a April Fools' Day, (never know Windows 11 can run into the corrupt issue. but looks true. and clean-install fixed the problem)

1. backup disk data before any further actions.

2. downloaded Windows 11 iso and did clean-install. activated. no any drivers added on. now PC info shows: Windows 11 Pro 22H2 22621.525 (same as last one but Snapping Tool starts to work)

next will add PC drivers (Video/audio/wifi, , ,). then to restore data files.

I did add drivers into the clean-install OS. then made its 1st image. in case of corrupt again, I can re-use the image.

The HP PC looks normal.
