Hi,

I have a problem with the Smartscreen pop-up below which no longer appears.

What bothers me is that some of the programs can be blocked and the window to 'run anyway' is not displayed... I have to deactivate Smartscreen to run the program.

Do you have a solution to make this pop up appear again?

I tried DISM and resetting Windows Security, Without success. :'(

Thanks for your help.

I suppose you could try disabling it then re-enabling it. Other than that, it’s a mystery to me.

What DISM did you run?

This is a copy/paste from my notes

You can run the SFC /scannow command from any console, including the command prompt, PowerShell, or Windows Terminal. Open one of these as Admin and type or past that command and press enter, then wait for it to finish.
Then, if it reports problems, run the following command:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
—->

Open search, type CMD. Open CMD as admin. Type (or copy and paste) the following command (or just run restore health):

Code:
SFC /scannow

Press enter

When completed, type (or copy and paste) the following command and be patient.

Code:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

Press enter and be patient.

You can just disable Smart Screen altogether...

Then you can "run away" without needing to click a button.

    Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 13 years?
Thank you for your answers gentlemen.

@antspants
I have already tried to disable/re-enable Smartscreen.
DISM was executed as I usually do. (Scanhealth, RestoreHealth, then sfc /scannow)
The Smartscreen pop up is still missing.

@Ghot
Yes of course I could completely disable Smartscreen and the problem would be solved.
But it bothers me to have a function that doesn't work properly, especially when it comes to security and Windows Defender.

This missing pop-up problem has already happened to me. I had to reinstall Windows 11.
I think I'll have to do the same thing... ;'(

You don’t really need to totally reinstall Windows 11, you could try a Repair Install/Upgrade.
Have read through this, you lose no files, nor should you have to reinstall any software.

I tried Repair Install/Upgrade.
Unfortunately the problem was still there.

I completely reinstalled Windows 11.
It's a little longer, but it's more radical to fix it. ;-)

Anyhow, thanks for your help. :)
