Something is writing to my external ssd while on idle

I cannot find out what
When I leave the laptop for a while and when I return,I can see that the activity indicator is blinking
I keep only my games on the drive and there is nothing that should be accessing it when I am not playing games
The windows defender is disabled on that drive and I don't have any background processes that can be accessing the drive but something is reading and writing from\to it

Does this have anything to do with it(it was on by default),it seems it was at that time but should windows does anything to ssd drives?

System Restore is also disabled on the drive
When I am actually using the laptop(not idle)and even if I am not accessing the drive in any way(read or write),there is no activity at all but when I leave it on idle,something is writing to it

Windows optimises SSDs by running the Trim command. This command releases blocks that held deleted data which helps the SSD perform wear levelling to extend its life.

Trimming an SSD does not touch any stored data, and is completely safe. However, if you wish to turn it off for an external drive, click Choose and un-tick it. You can also un-tick 'Automatically optimise new drives' to prevent it optimising any new external drives.

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.
