OK, here is a question for you guys.

As stated in another post, I have a Sumsung Galaxy Smart Tag 2, and this morning I used it to find my car keys (left in a coat pocket).

I had the sound turned on, and was withing 2 metres ofthe device.

My problem is I am totally deaf in one ear, and I cannot tell sound direction very easily. I have to sort of turn 360 degrees to try and work out sound direction. It took me a few minutes to work out exactly where it was.

I was wondering if there is an inexpensive way to triangulate the sound e.g. use of mobile phone with directional microphones (may be two phones needed?)

I tried a db meter on my phone but it was not that directional (probably need to use a microphone rather than rely on the phone microphone),

Any thoughts?

This is more a curiosity really I guess but I would welcome any simple suggestions?
