Split Screen In Edge

My computer updated Edge Canary to the latest build and now when I click on some links the page opens in a split screen. Is there a way to turn this off?

Thanks but that's not what I'm trying to do. I want to turn it off for ever. As an example. When I do a search in the Edge search bar for Amazon. The Bing page opens with the search results. When I click on it the Amazon page opens in a split screen. For my use a split screens is just a big pain in my butt.

Edit: I found out how to disable it. In the address bar type in edge://flags then hit enter and do a search for split screen. The three options are Default, Enable and Disable.

I fail to see the point of this feature, you can not even drag the tab in or out.
It is much more practical and faster to use a separate window, it looks the same.
