Solved SSD Dissappears after waking up from sleep.

I’m experiencing a strange SSD issue with my PC. While the system is in sleep mode, there are no problems. When I wake it up, the lock screen shows up normally and I can even see the time and other details. But as soon as the screen fully turns on, the computer completely freezes and crashes.

At first, I noticed that the SSD was disappearing from the BIOS, so I tried enabling NVMe RAID mode, but that didn’t solve it. I also tried toggling Fast Boot on and off—no change.

I checked the SSD’s health using CrystalDiskInfo, and everything looked fine. I updated the BIOS, SSD firmware, and all related drivers, but the issue persists. (What’s odd is that I can play games for long hours without any problems.) I also contacted technical support, and they suggested the SSD itself might be faulty. However, when I checked the SSD’s SMART data, there were no errors. I even ran commands like “sfc /scannow” to check system integrity, but that didn’t help either.

The problem only happens when resuming from sleep mode—there are no issues during normal boot.

Has anyone experienced a similar problem or found a possible solution?

Try to install the Samsung driver for the SSD. If it's already installed try the generic driver that Windows provides.

What Samsung driver are you talking about? To my knowledge there is NO Samsung drivers for any SSDs except for the one provided for the 970 series NVMe drives. Certainly none for a SATA SSD. The default Microsoft driver is used by ALL.

The problem only happens when resuming from sleep mode

I suggest you reinstall your video driver. Get it from the graphics card maker not from WU.
Reinstalling the video driver was the standard MS advice for sleep problems until a decade ago.

Best of luck,
Denis

As I said in other threads, I don't trust Windows Update, I prefer manually download the drivers from manufacturer to get maximum compatibility and performance. Especially critical drivers like chipset and graphics. If there is a new driver, I try to install it before WU has any chance to mess with it. If there is no newer driver, I use a utility to block relevant WU drivers, so it won't replace my OEM drivers.

I already downloaded latest gpu driver from the manufacturer's site. I tried dozen of things. But haven't found any solution.
