stop media player from opening network share

Hello all, thank you in advance for any help. I haven't used windows in years and I'm out of touch.. Windows 11

When I open the file browser and go to network, my ubuntu file server shows up as a windows media device, clicking on it to open it, windows media player opens, not the file browser. I have tried to get this to stop but have been unsuccessful. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it.

I have disabled the network sharing service: Windows Services manager > Windows Media Player Network Sharing > Properties window, Startup type is Disabled.

Turned off media streaming: Network and Sharing Center > advanced sharing settings > All Networks (or Media) section, Media streaming options > media streaming options is turned off.

I have reset the media library.

restarted the pc.
