Issue: My USB system is disabled in safe mode and in normally boot. So the only repair options I have is command prompt in recovery. This happened after I plugged in a web cam, my USB system died so i rebooted only to find it was permanently gone in windows. Works in bios and install / recovery mode. I did try disabling legacy usb but it did not help.
I have access to other PCs, and I can get in to recovery. My install CD seems to not know gpt, but I can use diskpart to get access to my EFI and run repair options. To get in to recovery I find it better to restart the PC at bootloader. That way it forces to pc to boot into it.
I tried a number of things from the scanner, to pchealth check an removed my last update I tried reset this pc and that fails at %50. I tried removing usb device and different ports, even older usb keyboards, no ps/2 port on this one unfortunately.
Can anyone suggest anything here, I'm out of options atm, I do not need a PC, I need to repair this one and get my software available again. So the format and reinstall is not the option I'm looking for.
