Hi
It is my first intervention in this Forum in which, as a simple reader, I have learned a lot.
Thank you very much to those who intervened with their "knowledge posts"!

My System: Win11, Home Ed., x64, v. 22H2-22621.2506

SUBJECT
========

I made a rookie mistake!
To include the "Videos" and "Music" folders, which appear in %userprofile%, in OneDrive, I started by moving the "Videos" folder (through "Properties" -> "Location" -> "Move") to OneDrive. I chose the "OneDrive" path instead of the "OneDrive\Videos" path.
Result: my OneDrive folder was renamed to "Videos"!

Resolution attempts
======================
1st- I disconnected "my PC" from the OneDrive account
through "Settings" in the "System Taskbar" icon and tried to reset the folder name to OneDrive.
Result: I was notified that this folder name already existed, although it does not appear in %userprofile% (note: hidden folders/files view options are selected)

2nd- I tried to reset OneDrive, `%localappdata%\\Microsoft\\OneDrive\\onedrive.exe /reset`, and then reset the folder name to OneDrive.
Result: same problem as previous (1st)

Can anyone suggest ways to restore the correct name of the OneDrive folder?

Important note: I do not have a backup of my folders/files from my OneDrive account.
Therefore, whatever the possible solution, priority should be given to the security of the data in this account.

Welcome to the forum. Sorry no one has answered you.

I do not have a solution to getting the onedrive folder name resolved, but I know what I would do to try fix it just to see if I could before I restored one of the system images I have made. FYI-making regular image backups can save your bacon in instances like this.)
.
First and foremost, I would copy any personal data that is not currently backed up to Onedrive to external media.. (music, videos, etc)

Unlink the account and PC from Onedrive. Unlink Account and PC from OneDrive in Windows 11 Tutorial

Then change current account to a local account in account settings.

Change user profile folder name Change Name of User Profile Folder in Windows 11 Tutorial
Restart.

Create a new user account as administrator and make it a MS account. Restart.

Login to new account and relink the account and PC to Onedrive.

Copy the backed up data back into their perspective folders.

Delete the old user account

To sync your Music and Videos folders to Onedrive you will have to use symbolic links.

Maybe @Brink can suggest a simpler solution. He's a guru about such stuff.

Hello PCO, and welcome. :alien:

You could see if using option three in the tutorial below to restore the default location of your Videos folder may also restore the OneDrive folder name afterwards.
