Successfully Updated Windows today with KB5127936 - Very smooth, very surprised

I just updated my Windows 11 26H2 system today to version 26.300.9818 without issues. I was pleasantly surprised. Of course, now I enter hope and pray mode that it doesn't wipe my hard disk or encrypt my entire hard disk like some ransomware. But I think that would be mostly behind us now and not a re-occurring feature of Windows updates!

Success!!!

As big as these updates are though, it seems like they should just release new fresh .ISOs.

It's never been an occurring feature for me, in the first place, so I'm not familiar with this "re"occurring phenomena of which thou speakest.

They do release fresh ISOs, but also your computer doesn’t download the entire multi-gigabyte update. That’s not how Windows updates work.
