Ear buds worked fine for month then woke up one morning and as they connected I got a lite blue screen (not dark blue of death) with a message that show for seconds - in the end after several trys it said something to the effect of "we have found some errors - we are collecting data & then will re-boot" with the sane outcome. Being a retired Teckie with a MSc in .Net dist systems I looked at everything I could think of - then got an MS person who asked if then could log on (Wasnt keen but let him) an after an hour he had no clue either - told me to go to eith Raycon or HP neither of which were at all helpful - if anyone could help I would e very greatful - All other bluetooth items work fine like for example a Blutooth speaker. Thank you for your time please let me know if I an=m being dumb or nee furter information

Do you have the Earbuds paired with any other device?
Some Earbuds do not support multi-point connection.

I also have an issue connecting my earphones. To make it work I have to switch off Bluetooth from Windows, wait a few seconds and then switch on again. Yesterday I had to try 2-3 times before they connected. In case yours are paired with another device, you can try removing them from the paired device list in Settings. Switch off Bluetooth, wait a few seconds, switch back on and put the earphones in discovery mode. Then Add them and pair them again like they are new. This should work. However, if you switch them off and try to connect them again, they might not connect automatically. You either click on connect button and if that fails, switch off the Bluetooth, wait a few seconds and switch back on. They should connect.

PS: In case you wonder, the issue might be due to some old update introducing incompatibilities with certain Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and other devices.

What Bluetooth device do you have? If it is USB try connecting on another port. Some cheap devices only work in USB 2.0 ports (black plastic). They don't work properly in USB 3.0 (blue plastic) or higher ports. I would even go at Device Manager and remove all Bluetooth related devices. Restart the computer, let Windows install the Bluetooth drivers again and then try to pair again.

Not the earbuds, the Bluetooth device on your computer. If it is USB, try another port. If it is too cheap, I would consider replacing it with a better USB Bluetooth dongle.

Well, if you have a Bluetooth device on the motherboard, you can try switching it off for a while and then back on. If you have a USB Bluetooth dongle instead (removable), disconnect the dongle (physically remove it) and put it in a different USB port. No programming involved here. Search for Device Manager and load it. Find the Bluetooth branch and expand it. Click on every device in that branch (category) and press DEL to uninstall it. When you have uninstalled all Bluetooth devices restart and let Windows detect the Bluetooth and find automatically drivers again. Then pair your earbuds again and see if they work properly. As you can see things are done much easier in Windows.
