Super Fast File Size Scanner

Stumbled across a replacement for TreeSize or WinDirStat that is way faster, pretty interesting. While the previously mentioned utilities get the job done, WizTree does the scan of a full drive in seconds! It has a similar display to WinDirStat, just does it about 50 times faster! It's free for personal use and worth a look.

If you're looking to see what's taking space on your drives, this is the express ticket. This scan of my Windows drive took less than five seconds!

It's great - I made a donation years ago, to support them of course but also to get rid of the immensely irritating "shaking" donor banner - they just removed that from the free version in the last update :)

• OneDrive folder was not being scanned correctly when using non admin mode or when scanning a folder containing the OneDrive folder - fixed
• Scan progress will now appear in taskbar icon
• Folder/Network scanning on Windows XP will now return correct allocated size values
• WizTree will now ignore malfunctioning MTP devices - previously they would cause WizTree's initialization to fail with an error message ('Error on FormCreate')
• Donate button won't wiggle any more :)

I just use XYplorer since I have a lifetime license I purchased for $29.50 in 2007.

Thanks for posting. I formerly used Windirstat, and then moved on to Folder Size, but Wiztree is a game changer in terms of speed. I just bought a Supporter Code copy. It is a very impressive application.

Thanks for the tip. I like the fact that WizTree is very fast. Plus they offer a portable version meaning I don't have to install it.

Yep, I just happened to be cruising news on my phone and spotted this, I was pleasantly surprised by the speed.
