Super IO hack by exe targeting USB mouse and keyboard on laptops

Thousands of laptops if not millions of windows devices are affected by a super IO hack since at least the early windows 95 days. So far I've discovered that on laptops the super IO is reset by installing a different palmrest or keyboard without the palmrest. I also found a com ports reset script and UCM-UCSI usb reset for Asus laptops

The super IO hack has various symptoms such as overheating, usb ports not working, slow ssds, slow usb transfer, slow wifi, bad fan profiles, slow gpu and cpu performance and obviously many laptops especially from AMD have trackpads and keyboards that don't work. Also UEFI doesn't update super IO

Do you have any real information regarding this? I will be blunt and say that this sounds like a load of rubbish. How does a palm rest which has no electrical connection to your system possibly affect IO in any way, shape or form? A palm rest would have about as much effect on your system as a notepad sitting on your desk, or your cup of coffee, or the socks that you are wearing. In other words, a palm rest Is completely irrelevant to the operation of the system.

The palmrest on modern laptops is riveted to the keyboard and the keyboard ribbon cable has a direct connection to the super IO. There is also hardware programmers for the super IO that require a second PC or laptop

So point being is that if anybody has a persistent problem with a laptop or desktop pc it is very likely the super IO firmware and it has to be reset or programmed because UEFI updates do not program the super IO

The programmer was around £20 a few years ago and now it is over $200

I think they meant touchpad, some people call them that differently in other countries.
