Hi all, my windows is installed on an SSD and in my system I also have an HDD for other data. Is it normal behaviour for windows to hang (the cursor doesn't move, everything in the user interface freezes) for (half a) second while the HDD spins up when I open something in that drive? Of course it only happens if the drive was spun-down.
I mean, probably the answer is yes and the reason why it goes like that is that windows sucks, since I see no reason why the system should hang instead of showing the loading cursor if it's waiting for a non-system drive to wake up. But who knows.
(Please avoid telling me off-topic things like setting the HDD to never spin down etc, it's just not the point)
Thanks to anyone who will try to help :)
