Below a screenshot of my drive C
What partitions would be included in a system image done with Windows? would it include my files and programs?
What partitions would be included in a system image done with TODO backup free version? would it include my files and programs?

As a minimum, you need to backup the EFI partition and the C drive. You are showing two recovery partitions but only one will be active.

Run this command from an admin command prompt and post image

"What partitions would be included in a system image done with Windows? would it include my files and programs?"

Windows imaging does not work properly and even MS say use a third party App.

"What partitions would be included in a system image done with TODO backup free version? would it include my files and programs?"

If you select all partitions (whole drive) then Yes it would include all your files and programs. i.e. everything.

Disk Management in Windows does not show all partitions, however Imaging Apps do.

It does not matter about a small redundant recovery partition. Just leave it is the safest option.

What partitions would be included in a system image

You need the EFI partition and the OS (C:) partition, minimum, to be able to boot Windows.
All your programs, etc., will be on the OS partition... (C:)

Also... it would probably help if you used a more common backup software.
Like one of these...

Lastly, you should run the command in post #2 and post a screenshot of the results.

Windows imaging does not work properly

It works fine. Many prefer 3rd party programs for different features.

It is unreliable. Many have found it fails.

MS do not support their own deprecated tool and advise using 3rd party tools.

OPs Todo Backup is a reliable tool and no real need to change.

The larger recovery partition is typically the active one. Windows makes a new one with a new version if the old partition isn't large enough for the update.

That shows the 4th partition is the active partition. However there is also a hidden MSR partition as well so the 4th partition is the second to last one. The final one is redundant.

In the end, the last partition is very small so it does not really matter if you back it up anyway.

1-In relation to the screen shots above, should I just keeping doing “system image” with both Windows and TODO backups?

2- in relation the partitions, Should I do something?

System properties shows that my restore points occupy 12.46 GB

MS sort of deprecated System Imaging in 7, ever since it recommends to use 3rd party instead, it literally says 7.
