Hi everyone,
I’m looking for help analyzing a Windows crash dump and figuring out what may be causing my system to blue screen/reboot.
The crash happened while I was in VRChat using SteamVR. I think the issue may be connected to VR, SteamVR, my headset/USB devices, GPU driver, audio driver, or possibly something else being stressed while VRChat is running.
Here is the Event Viewer message:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x00000133
(0x0000000000000001, 0x0000000000001e00, 0xfffff807c9dc53c8, 0x0000000000000000).

A dump was saved in:
C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\052426-23078-01.dmp

Report Id:
809e916c-4b47-4bf8-8755-fefc0c71db0d
From what I understand, 0x00000133 is DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION, which may point to a driver or hardware-related issue. Since it happened during VRChat/SteamVR, I’m wondering if it could be related to my GPU driver, USB controller/headset connection, audio driver, network driver, or SteamVR devices.
Could someone help me analyze the minidump and identify what driver/module is likely causing it?
I can provide the zipped minidump file if allowed. I’m mainly looking for help with things like:
MODULE_NAME
IMAGE_NAME
FAILURE_BUCKET_ID
PROCESS_NAME
STACK_TEXT
System information:
Windows version:
CPU:
GPU:
Motherboard / laptop model:
RAM:
Storage / SSD:
VR headset:
GPU driver version:
SteamVR version:
VRChat version:
Any overlays/tools running: Discord, Steam Overlay, NVIDIA/AMD overlay, OVR Toolkit, fpsVR, etc.
What was happening when it crashed:
I was using VRChat through SteamVR.
The system blue-screened/rebooted instead of only VRChat crashing.
I believe it happened while VR was active and the system was under load.
Things I am planning to check or try:
Clean reinstall GPU driver
Reset SteamVR USB devices
Try different USB ports
Disable overlays
Verify VRChat and SteamVR files
Check CPU/GPU temperatures
Check if it crashes in VRChat desktop mode without SteamVR
Any help reading the dump file and figuring out the likely cause would be appreciated. Thank you.
