Task Scheduler asking credentials

Hi Team,

while trying to schedule a task, at the end of the setup Task Scheduler asking for Password, although I have not set any password for my desktop.

Request your help in fixing this issue.

No you don't need to run the Task Scheduler as the Administrator.

Have place a check mark on "Run with highest privileges" box at General tab?

If you ordinarily log in with a PIN, I think the TScheduler will accept that.

Thank you for your reply, I am using neither PIN nor password for login into desktop.

I have only one Local Account user setup done on my system without any password.

Yes I did select this option, however while trying to save the task asking for password.

Is there a user name in the "When running the task, use the following account"?
If so, did you also try clicking on "Change User or Group", type your user name in and click "Check Names"?
If it prompts for a password there, and you actually don't have one, have you tried leaving it blank?

Also, just be sure that you actually don't have a password.
Sometimes, there is actually a password that has been originally set, but it has been disabled in control userpasswords2 / netplwiz.

Running a task in the Scheduler with "Run with highest privileges" Does not request a password when the task is run. That's a neat trick we learned years ago to run any task as Admin without needing to enter a password.
