Solved Taskbar icon image missing

So your problem appeared after you installed Zoom? Simple uninstalling probably doesn't undo the changes and doesn't fix the issue. Try uninstalling it with Revo Uninstaller to also remove all traces before you reinstall. Is Zoom the affected application? Which one is the application without icon? You should consider removing it and reinstalling. This should fix whatever errors in Registry or elsewhere causing the missing icon.

If you uninstall Zoom, make sure you download it from the official website:

Avoid any other websites which might give an older version or contain malware.

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by "than all fixed and still same" since it appears to be contradicting.

Could you provide more details on what was fixed other than the icon issue?
I meant I have tried all fixes but not fixed yet. Zoom is like skype.

You can try to rebuild the icon cache as in the Tutorial, but I do something more drastic. I go to the following folder and delete all files named iconcache*.db

C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Explorer

I then restart File Explorer or the whole computer for the changes to take effect. File Explorer won't find any icon files to restore, so it will search each individual application and take the icons from there. That hopefully should fix your missing icons issue.

PS: yourname is your username. The AppData folder is hidden, you must enable showing hidden files in File Explorer settings to see it.

PS2: Just a thought. Could the missing icons be because the respective apps don't allow full access to the system to retrieve the icons? Do they launch then you click the icon? If you have to re-register them to your account open a PowerShell as Administrator and execute this command to register them all:
Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
If you have any issues with Microsoft Store and you need to reinstall it, execute this command:
Add-AppxPackage -register "C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.WindowsStore_11610.1001.23.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\AppxManifest.xml" -DisableDevelopmentMode

I have ran the sfc /scannow and its said its fixed. I have restarted but same issue.
Did you try restarting explorer.exe?
Code:
taskkill /F /IM explorer.exe
start explorer

This is what worked for me.

The issue used to happen so frequently that I created a shortcut/Start menu item for the explorer.exe restart script. In my case, 99% of my icons were gone and sometimes it was just the Start menu icon that remained! Moreover, the issue only occurred after unlocking; that is, everything was fine and then I'd step away for a bit, manually lock, or my PC went into hibernation, and when I returned to unlock, there was the issue!

Before I settled on restarting explorer.exe, hovering over the empty spots would cause some icons to appear! Very weird!

I don't know what patch or whatever finally "fixed" the issue for me but, nowadays, it is extremely rare that the issue occurs. However, I have an identical Surface Laptop Studio (the exact same specs, Windows version, and software installed), which I use for performing my backups, and I'm always RDCing into it. The issue occurs very frequently on this Surface when I'm using RDC; otherwise, it is fine, just like my primary Surface.

Rather unlikely, but could it be a misbehaving graphics driver? Download latest driver pack directly from Microsoft and reinstall it, even if it is the same version. Windows Update doesn't bother if it is the same version, but manually reinstalling on top the same or newer drivers will fix any corrupted files and Registry data (aka upgrade/repair installation).

I agree, so I would first try to do an in-place upgrade/repair installation, meaning mount the ISO of the same or newer version snd run Setup inside Windows and select to upgrade keeping both apps and files. To allow you keep both you must download the ISO matching the original installation language, any language packs added later don't count. Also Windows 11 will automatically install the respective language packs after the upgrade, unlike older Windows versions that require to add them manually again.

Or just use recovery no iso needed.

From my own experience, every time in many different computers I have gone to Troubleshooting screen and selected to uninstall latest update, it never worked, either of the two available options. What it could save the day would be IF System Restore was enabled and there is a suitable system restore point to go back to before the issue existed. Lack of that, the only option to avoid reinstalling Windows is to do an in-place upgrade/repair installation like I suggested. See Tutorial in @Brink's reply, but it is like any other Windows upgrade. Instead of installing a newer version you install the same version, no rocket science.

What I posted and what Brink posted are the same.
The option in recovery is just like using an iso now as it downloads the files then reinstall Windows like an in place upgrade.

I hate to install new windows reason every settings takes times. I will try to upgrade as @Brink stated. Lets see if it does fix. Else last not the least is to re-install the new windows.
