Hi,

How could I make it so that when a software that already has an icon on the taskbar will not spawn another icon on the taskbar when open.

As they say a picture is worth a thousand words. In the picture, the software Chromium (with number 1) is launched and it does not spawn another icon. While the program Firefox spawns another icon and when the program is closed, the spawn icon will disappear.

Minor annoyance.

Thank you
Henry

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.
How it is finally solved is by:
  1. go to the folder C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\User Pinned\TaskBar
  2. right click and Pin to Taskbar

Along the way, I tried by moving the firefox shortcut to that folder. Weirdly enough the icon won't appear on the taskbar, even after logging in and out and even restarted the PC.
