Try this running from Terminal. 100 sets the number of pings and runs at one per second. See if you are losing any packets.

Code:

ping -n 100 1.1.1.1

This was for 500 pings. The TTL is 'time to live' and is pure coincidence it is also the same as the 57ms of what will be a single outlier in the 500 pings.
