The windows mail app is not deleting emails as a batch?

Not deleting?? Nothing happens
Is it just really slow or what?
I select them all, then click delete at the top.

I guess it does not work like that.
Is there anyway to empty your inbox?

OH finally figured it out, you select them all, then DO NOT hit delete at the top, click the hamburger icon with check marks 3 times, then hit delete, a red bar appears at bottom and it says deleted.

Crazy huh!
At least they are emptied out.
