I left my Samsung T7 in my car overnight. It got down to maybe high 30s F. Brought it inside, plugged it in. Wouldn't even connect. Waited 5 minutes and it connected, but generally acted flaky. Waited another 15 minutes and it finally worked right. It just had a bit of a chill.

Yeah, they're quite temperature sensitive. They work best around 20-35C mainly because of how the memory is working. The internal temperature is usually higher for best performance.

The user manual for the Samsung T7 states:
Use the product in appropriate environment: temperature between 5°C - 35°C (41°F - 95°F) and humidity between 10 - 80%.

They could have designed it for greater temperature extremes but that would have greatly increased its cost.

Well that rules out Iceland -- many days in Winter while not so cold as Finland for example are around 0 to 3 deg C and unless you are on top of a volcano the idea of 35 deg C here is so laughable that only Hollywood disaster movie makers could come up with that one.

It can easily be -25C here and in some places -35C is also normal 😂

Use the product in appropriate environment: temperature between 5°C - 35°C (41°F - 95°F) and humidity between 10 - 80%.

This range seems too restrictive, especially for a portable drive. The usual range is 0-70C.
