Got the 3.5mm jack USB to work once with Edifier speakers using grok.com; cat stepped on keyboard but no repeat. MS said 'get their Sonic' but I don't do Bluetooth. I've been at this for 3+ months. Adm. here wants me to execute V2 to help them diagnose & am to take screenshot & if Ummm BLANK page so I think best if I do full backup 1st. Well, Macrium Reflect free v. 8.etc will not execute cuz jolly royalists Englanders no longer give out (email you) necessary code. Back to blackboard.
Thank you!! I finally found some awesome applicable info on RealTek Audio Control Panel/ So I +- direct this towards NEVES who recommended getting Realtec driver from codecpack.co.
Please, Help as I'm a bit stuck as follows and I Apologize for lengthy post.
Realtek UAD Driver 6.0.9771.1 presently in browser downloads . FROM README in that folder. "Before installing my package, you have to completely remove other Realtek HD Audio drivers regardless of being in classic HDA or UAD format because Windows favors hardware-specific drivers with better hardware ID matching even if older than generic ones. Follow this procedure:
1. download and extract my generic package;
2. download and extract [DriverStore Explorer](https://github.com/lostindark/DriverStoreExplorer/releases);
from Releases · lostindark/DriverStoreExplorer
3a. if there is an entry in `Programs and Features` / `Apps & Features` put in there by Realtek official setup, use it to uninstall, but don't restart yet when prompted, minimize it as you'll be back to it later;
3b. if there is no such entry, run setup from my generic package until it asks to install the generic driver, answer with no as it's too early for it;
5. locate `Windows Audio` making sure it matches exactly, then do stop command on it;
6. when it's over close `Services`, then open `DriverStore Explorer - RAPR`;
7. look for entries under `Extensions`, `Software components` and `Sound, video and game controllers` driver classes with the provider being `Realtek` or `Realtek Semiconductor Corp.` and carefully delete stuff related to Realtek Audio driver;
8a. if you used the official setup to uninstall, disconnect from the Internet, and let it reboot the system;
9. run setup from my generic package to the end;
ME: OK. So, in folder for Readtek-UAD-generic 6.0.9400.1 there is a setup.cmd program icon. Is this what he/she is referring to?? If I click on it it begins to Run.
10a. if you used the official setup you can now reconnect to the Internet.
If step 3a applies to you, you'll have to perform 8a and 10a. Otherwise, they don't apply to you.
Step 8a and step 9 take care of restarting the `Windows Audio` service for you, so don't worry about it.
### Note about system instability e.g. BSOD/GSOD
Just boot into safe mode minimal or with networking, safe with Command prompt is too restrictive. Setup will run and correct the problem.
THANK YOU! GASHO! Enuf questions for awhile...til I get a backup done.

ME: Hmm. There are several older (?)other versions listed. I downloaded the DriverStore Explorer v0.12.127 (I think newest version)?
OK so now what do I do with it? Like copy/paste to downloads folder? ¿EXTRACT? in the Realtek UAD Driver 6.0.9771.1 generic folder I don't see any .zip but there is a z at the end of the file-- does this mean 'zip'? so how do I extract this program? There are 3 .exe's Is this where I extract like all three? Incredible I can find No/Zilch any "unzip" programs in this dufus Win11. Is this why I can't unzip it?
more ME:
IN 1ST PARAGRAPH IN README file, "completely remove other Realtek HD Audio drivers" maybe what I am not getting is which of these 2 downloads do I use to accomplish this? Then on my pc Device Mgr > Sound > video & games there are two entries: Intel(R) Display Audio and Realtek(R) Audio > TAB=Driver Details Driver Date 23Aug '23 Version 6.0.9400.1 The only option @ bottom "Uninstall Device" it says uninstall the whole device from the system (Advanced). Do I want to do this??? If I go to Driver Details then there are 5 listed but my only option is "OK" (no such uninstall) So, am I to use the DriverStore Explorer to uninstall these drivers?
Next in README IS: 3a. if there is an entry in `Programs and Features` / `Apps & Features` put in there by Realtek official setup, use it to uninstall, but don't restart yet when prompted, minimize it as you'll be back to it later;
3b. if there is no such entry, run setup from my generic package until it asks to install the generic driver, answer with no as it's too early for it;
ME: Umm I could not find either of these 2 entries.
4. on start search for `Services` and open it as admin;5. locate `Windows Audio` making sure it matches exactly, then do stop command on it;
ME: Ummm OK. I think he/she means my taskbar's 'Search'?? HOWEVER, there is right after 'Windows Audio' in 'Services' a service "Windows Audio Endpoint". Do I do a 'stop' on this too from the stop and restart the service in upper left corner of services list's page? THEN... what "matches exactly" WHAT?? All it says is "manages windows audio...Running...Automatic...Local Service"
6. when it's over close `Services`, then open `DriverStore Explorer - RAPR`;
7. look for entries under `Extensions`, `Software components` and `Sound, video and game controllers` driver classes with the provider being `Realtek` or `Realtek Semiconductor Corp.` and carefully delete stuff related to Realtek Audio driver;
8a. if you used the official setup to uninstall, disconnect from the Internet, and let it reboot the system;
ME: Umm, note below from this README it says "boot into safe mode minimal or w. networking" so kindly, please, where/how on this dufus Dell 5490 AIO's Win11 24H2 do I make sure I do this?
9. run setup from my generic package to the end;
ME: OK. So, in folder for Readtek-UAD-generic 6.0.9400.1 there is a setup.cmd program icon. Is this what he/she is referring to?? If I click on it it begins to Run.

- A tutorial on finding all this data would sure be helpful. I think Win11 blocks+- USB 3.5mm jack and other hardware capabilities [#1toPromoteBluetooth] via software in: Realtek audio card, UEFI/(BIOS), ACPI, J2SE, God and You'all only might know and be able to resolve this. I have much hearing loss and NEED my Edifier speakers-3.5mm jack to work, please. Thanks!
