Thunderbird 115: CSS Customization

Well, I'll be dinged! That did it perfectly. I took out
and put in what you (and Morat) offered in #359. Grrrreat!

Okay, I'll revise to include Cards, even though I won't use Cards again until they fix it. They added a third line of space in 120 Beta, but they've put nothing in it so far except the Star, way over on the right. I'm hoping to be able to continue using Cards in the versions that make it to non-beta release. Oh, I think I misuderstood you. I thought you'd revised the code lines. Doesn't seem so. And I don't see anything in 115 Cards view: no 2px lines, and there's no bottom line (after the last showing post) to have the artefact.

Wisewiz; please re-check the code I posted in #359. The following are the screenshots with the code in your css file after removing the old one which you had been using.

Sorry, I must not have refreshed. I saw the first version when I looked. Now I've got the revised lines. Back soon.

Purrrfect!. 2px lines, and bottom line with no artefact, in Cards, and 2px lines with no artefact in Table. Many thanks to you and Morat.

Is there any way to remove these buttons and just leave the delete button, with CSS?

Alex, as superb as das10's CSS code findings are, there is a simple way to accomplish what you want: Get the Compact Headers add-on (extension). If you have the Delete button in your Unified Toolbar, you don't need to show it in message headers.
The description of Compact Headers is
Compact Headers
Adds a twisty to the headers, limits displayed headers to 1 or 2 lines
Compact Headers version 5.1 supports Thunderbird 115.
Adds a twisty to the header area which toggles between compact and expanded headers.
Keyboard shortcut Alt-D toggles between compact and expanded headers.

Adds a right-click context menu to the header area with options for the extension:
- Display compact headers on a single line.
- Show the To header on the first line in double line mode.
- Show the Cc header on the first line in double line mode.
- Show the Website from RSS feeds on the first line in double line mode.
- Show message tags on the second line in double line mode.
- Hide the header toolbar.
Compact Headers changes my first screenshot to my second.

Your fixed toolbar at the top is very different from here, I didn't find where to change it.

@Alex__ASSR Just right-click anywhere to the right side of your trash control in that toolbar, choose Customize, and drag anything you want (and anything I have) up to the toolbar, then click Save before you leave the customize window. I got Write, Reply, Forward, and Print from there. And your Delete button works in messages, so you don't need to keep the Delete button in the Message Header Toolbar. Just use Compact Headers to Hide that Header Toolbar.

I mean this, I don't know if I can say what I want, my English is broken, But it's ok, I'll leave it like that, thanks anyway.

I'm really impressed with how Thunderbird has evolved!

Thunderbird 123.oa1 automatically showing accent colors throughout the UI...

Hi - a forum newbie here hoping someone will have the answer. Thunderbird is my preferred email client (version 115) but I find the email page a bit dull in its raw state. Through very helpful posts on here and trial and error I've managed to fashion the page into something more to my liking - see screenshot. But two niggles remain.
One is the css code for the subject etc line. At present it reads:

It works up to a point but it's not great if I change the column headings. I then have to add another ColButton to the code. Is there a more elegant solution, please, which would cover all possible headings ?

The second is missing code for the column picker - circled on the screen shot - which would enable me to colour fill that box so that I have a continuous blue line ?

Maybe I've become a little too obsessed but I'd like to complete the job ! Thanks in advance.

For some reason, though, it's removed the colour from the folders pane header section for which I had the following css code.

#folderPaneHeaderBar:not([hidden]) {
background-color: #B7D1EA !important;
color: black !important;
fill: green !important;
}

Any thoughts please ? Thanks.

Your correction has resolved the issue. I hadn't spotted that.
Many thanks for your help. I would have wasted a lot of time trying to figure it out myself.
I now have something I can live with - at least until I start fiddling again.
