How can I stop these files showing I assume I have checked the right box. Weird thing is when I refresh they disappear. I never had the problem in windowsScreenshot 2025-07-17 180415.webp 10

Can we work out how they’re getting there?
Do you know what’s generating them?

I am guessing you’re running some kind of sync? OneDrive? FreeFileSync?Actually FreeFileSync generates a .lock file so probably not that.
Some kind of sync may explain why they are showing then vanishing.

Hi I have found out it only happens when I download album covers from a site called Discogs no other sites are involved

Yeah that’s ODD. How are you downloading them? I don’t recall having this issue (For 100’s of album covers) from Discogs.

The tmp files are most likely being generated by whatever editing/image app you’re using to paste into. Once you’re done, they disappear. Hence the refresh, maybe.

As stated, In Discogs, click the More Images link as shown
right click any image and choose Save Image As.
Save it to the artists music folder.
