Hey everyone, something has been bugging me for a while and I can't figure out how to. I'm sure it's something simple but it's just going over my head I guess.

I've got a lot of pinned apps and said pinned apps reached the bottom right corner and the rightmost apps in the tasks bar are no longer showing.

The rightmost app is Chrome and I've got 3 different profile opens meaning 3 separate chrome icons. On my external monitor, there's enough space for the 3 separate icons to show in the taskbar but on my laptop 15-inch screen, there isn't enough space. I can see a horizontal bar that appeared next to the chrome icon and I guess it's saying that there are other icons not visible but how can I get them to be displayed? See the horizontal bar highlighted in red below

Basically to the right of the Chrome icon there should be 2 other chrome icons showing. How can I display them?

When I'm connected to my external monitor I can click on the icon from my external monitor but right now I'm away from my desk and I can easily switch Chrome profile. (yeah I can use the 3 fingers gesture to bring up all my active windows but I've got so many, it's easier for me to simply click on Chrome via the taskbar)

Thank you

You can get more icons on the taskbar by changing the taskbar size to small.

you can change the number of thumbnail previews before the threshold is reached. Change Number of Taskbar Thumbnails to Show before Stacked as List in Windows 11 Tutorial

Thanks for the first link. It seems this could be a solution.
I found a way around it, for now, I've given more space for icons on the taskbar by removing OneDrive from appearing in the taskbar corner overflow. By removing the OneDrive Icon from the corner, my 3 Chrome icons can now be displayed.
If I need to pin another icon to my taskbar, I will try modifying the size of the icon with your method.

Thanks

I just checked and yeah it is set to "Center"
Another shortcoming I'm guessing, you would think that they would have automatically adjusted the sizes of the icons based on how many icons are pinned.

Thanks for the help

Quick update, I tried to change the taskbar size and it seems that the taskbar was not designed to be displayed in a smaller size, unsure why this tweak is online as it doesn't work, it just breaks the taskbar. The corners left or right are no longer centered. Looks pretty bad, don't recommend it

You can use the other file Change_taskbar_icons_size_to_small_in_Windows_11.bat to get back to normal.
I used the Change_taskbar_icons_size_to_default_medium_in_Windows_11.bat and it looks good on mine but I am using a PC with a 27 in screen.
However, I have used that .bat file on a laptop and it worked fine. It might go haywire if you are using any other third party app that affects the GUI.

This is one of those reasons why I use ExplorerPatcher to bring back the old taskbar of Windows 10. As you can easily see for yourself, the Windows 11 taskbar and start menu are designed for people who only use a handful of apps, like, the average smartphone user and the type of user who suffers from myopia.
