I really liked Snap Windows until Microsoft did it's usual trick of making something needlessly complicated. I like Snap Windows when I hover but I don't like the new 'feature' of it suggesting recent or favorite scenarios, the ones I have crossed out here --

To me it adds clutter. Before I feedback this to MS, is there a switch to turn of these recommended types? I didn't find anything here --

Isn't there a Script for that?

I believe there is a Tutorial on that subject, with a script to download. @Brink

This is the .reg script that I have for that:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

; Created by: Shawn Brink
; Created on: September 12, 2021
; Tutorial: Turn On or Off Snap windows in Windows 11 Tutorial

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop]

"WindowArrangementActive"="0"

You can create the script, and run it, or just go into the registry, by running Regedit, and manually make the setting.

I just created the script, and added it to my Windows 11 Utilities, so I can run it quickly without having to futz around in the registry.

That would completely disable Snap windows. :alien:

I do not like the new snap options, I just use 1x2, 2x2, 4x4.

I kinda like the new ones, especially since they are automatically offering to pair the current app you have selected with the previous app you had selected immediately. But, I rarely use any of them, so it's just 'kinda nice' and not 'I can't live without them' lol.

And being able to call them up with Win + Z is a nice touch as well.
