Three "Other devices" in my Device Manager

I was installing driver software for my Huion H610 Pro graphics tablet when I noticed something odd in my Device Mangler... "AMA SPP Server" "Flow" "MAP SMS/MMS" What are these? They don't appear to have drivers associated to them when I look at their properties. Windows 11 Pro 64bit...

I know a certain individual here is going to argue me down that I'm wrong (we had this discussion before), but that's his opinion, and one easily disproved per posts and links.

If you read the links, you will see how you can possibly identify what those devices are. And BTW, I have the same "Other" in my Device Manager with question marks, and knowing what I know, all is good. You were right the first time... there's nothing broken.

I would like to thank everyone here for the help .. really appreciate it ... and have decided to let the matter rest.
reason:-
a) it only shows-up in device mgr - hidden devices
b) strangely enough, although an unknown device, it is reported as working properly!
c) laptop is working fine

After getting rid of clutter (300,000 files) with a fresh install, i really dont wish to add any apps except for dell command update.

Even then, I noticed a new app running now after a BIOS update - Intel Management and Security Status. Might just uninstall that too!

Sounds too me that it's the Intel Management Engine. Feature of vPro capable systems. After you've verified what it is, you can safely remove it if you don't want remote management capabilities. One security issue less to worry about.

I could be wrong about this though, so please double check it's nothing important.

EDIT: If this is a personal laptop, you don't need the app/feature at all. But if it is a business laptop, then ask the company who issued the laptop to you, if it is a requirement.

Go to the Microsoft Store and Search for "Tile".
See if it can install or is already installed.

Or maybe you already have the Tile App, and it needs uninstalled?

I have no idea if this will help anything. But when Googling, the MS Store Tile App came up a few times.

Thanks ... its my personal laptop but i guess it got auto installed coz its Dell's business line. Its disabled now and does not start-up at boot. Will uninstall it soon!

Thanks! I was aware of that too ... Tile is an app to find your items when they get lost .. I wont be using it and I avoid unnecessary d/loads.

Actually, I dont even have the Microsoft Store running - a trick i learnt - to select English/World instead of English US/UK during the fresh Win 11 install. It doesnt know which country so it does not load unnecessary apps.

You can also look to see if the Tile App shows up in REVO, either on the Uninstaller tab or the Windows Apps tab.
If it's there, just highlight it and click on the Uninstall button (top center of REVO), and when it's done... do the "scan for leftovers" too.

The "scan for leftovers" part of the REVO uninstaller, cleans up all the left over Tile folders and registry entries.


I don't have "Tile" on my computer because my desktop weighs about 40-50 pounds.
It would take quite a large burglar to run away with that. :D

The English language choices when choosing the ISO are English [meaning US English, en-us] and English international [meaning British English, en-gb].

Sure - Windows 11 installation begins with the setup screen, where you select language, regional formats, and input methods.
To prevent Windows 11 from installing bloatware, choose English (World) from the Time and Currency format drop-down, then proceed with the installation as usual.
It really works - I was left with very little apps to uninstall.

I believe that's a DELL App.


But even after reading the above link... I don't know if it's needed or not.
I'm not really a laptop or Intel person, but I'm sure we have a few lurking around here. :-)




Now that your "removal process" is getting down to the nitty gritty...
you should probably have a full "backup", before you remove too many more things.

Once you have a full backup and you've made the bootable rescue media, you're pretty much bullet proof.

Getting it again is not really the issue. De-bloating Windows is like playing Jenga.
You keep removing pieces and no matter how good you are... the stack falls over, sooner or later.

This is the reason that most of us "tweakers", use backup software.
So when Windows does fall down, we can get back to operational in a few minutes. :-)
