Both Canary and current release have the same issue when trying to run updates ONLY.
Browsing is absolutely fine in Edge.
Mozilla & Chrome & Samsung browsers all OK.

I'm getting the same thing on my end for all Edge channels. Must be some temporary issue since it worked fine earlier this morning.

This doesn't help you other than to say that I don't get that error when trying to update Edge stable release.

It does a bit since it could be a regional issue.
Since you are in the US however, I guess we will rule that out.

After decrypting the update traffic. This is what I see with the same error.

HTTP 429 usually means blocked from rate limiting, MS might have tweaked rate limited a bit too aggressively.
