Unfinished installation still shows after a finished install

I installed a windows 11 on a brand new SSD, using that creation tool to make a usb flash drive.
But, when I first tried to install, on the first automatic reboot, it did not went back to continue the instalation. I restarted the pc again, and started a new installation, that went normal and finished as expected.
What I didn't notice, is that everytime the pc boots up, it aks which windows 11 to boot, one that doesn't work, or the one that does work normally.

I do not want to re install everything, as I already installed the programs and all the things.

question is: How do I remove that failed installation?

Welcome to Eleven Forum.

Well, you can remove the other boot entry on the "Boot" tab in msconfig, when you're booted in to the install you want to keep.




But that will only get rid of the two options at boot. The files for the install you don't want will still be there.


I know you don't want to hear this, but your best option is do do a clean install.
Unhook all the other drives and use the install media to delete everything on the drive you are installing Windows on.

I checked the msconfig, and that showed me the 2 installs, but what was going one was that there was a random lost old windows on my other ssd. Which I had formated.
I removed the option on the msconfig. And now it boots like it should.

Don't know about the files still existing, but I don't really care about that ssd that much, it's more a extra, 100gb. I think I'd to clear the partitions or something. But I can't be bothered now.
