Universal Shield software installs and runs fine on my Laptop but does not install on my Desktop

When I try to install Universal Shield on my desktop I get an error of Insufficient Free Disk Space although I have 2TB available on the SSD.
The software installs on my Laptop without any issues.
Any ideas would be appreciated
.

The software isn't even written to recognize drives with capacity this large.
It has not been updated in almost 13 years.
For security reasons, I would advise you to stop using that software.

Since it installed on my laptop and works fine I wanted to install it on my desktop too. Version 3.1 installs fine on the desktop but then does not support the OS. I realize it is older software but thought I could try to get it to work

What is the software designed to do?
Got it:
Universal Shield is a program to protect your confidential files. It can hide files, folders, or drives from all other users (including other administrators). The program supports FAT, FAT32, and NTFS systems. It can also password protect files, folders, and drives.

If it still meets your needs, then fine , you just have to create a small partition on your new system with a dedicated drive so that as long as the partition does not exceed the software size limitation.
We can deduce that limitation by looking at the free space available on your laptop and make the partition on your desktop equal or inferior to that free space.

1- Get a free partition tool that's easy to use such as IM-resizer Free Partition Manager Software Download Windows PC Server
2- After opening the program, you will see pretty much the same screen you posted above , so highlight the C:, right click, resize it and reduce C: by 50 GB.
3- Click Apply, it will ask to reboot as it will reduce the OS drive. Let it do its thing, it will take very little time.
4- After reboot, you will find yourself with a new unnamed partition, so right click and format, NTFS will be chosen for you, Click apply
5- On that new partition , right click again and select Change Drive Letter.
Give it whatever letter your want. Click on Apply & no reboot will be needed this time.
6- Try to install your program in that new partition and it should be OK.

I recommend backing up everything or do a restore point prior to all this, but it should be rather straight forward

Which installation?
-The partitioning tool can go like any others on your C: Drive.
-Your Universal Shield will have to go on the newly created partition.

The installation of universal shield … that is what is failing regardless of the drive it is run from
