I have ASUS K31ADE desktop pc with Windows 11 Pro 22H2 latest version and everything works fine and no issues and 2 others desktop pc's...Dell Inspiron
DT3670 with Windows 11 Home 22H2 latest version and finally an Aspire XC 1760 also has Windows 11 Home 22H2 latest version.
All 3 pc's have the same programs on them ie Mozilla Firefox,Norton 360 For Gamers and my personal software ie Bandicam,Hypersnap,Glary Utilties etc.

The issue i have i cannot load 2 websites on Dell Pc and Aspire pc and get the familiar message...
Error Code:SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG

1688451720458.png
On my main ASUS Pc the 2 websites load ok with Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge and they load ok on my Iphone 13.
All 3 Pc's have the same settings for Mozilla Firefox,Microsoft Edge and Norton 360 For Gamers and all 3 are connected to Broadband Router with 3 Ethernet Cables .

I have clicked Clear SSL on Network Properties, Flushed DNS,disabled Norton on both Dell and Aspire pc's and still get the same message ..
what could be causing this issue ?

The only option would be to do a complete fresh install of Windows 11 22H2 on Aspire pc and then load the 2 websites again and see if they load and it is highly unlikely Virgin Media ( my Broadband provider ) have blocked these 2 sites on Dell and Aspire pc's but not on Asus pc nor on my Iphone 13.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

I am using my Dell Pc now.

Thanks for reply Wiganken,

Boths sites on Dell Pc and Aspire Pc are ...https...and DNS settings is set to off...then set to Default,Increased Protection and Maximum Protection and still receive the same message.Have clicked Don't Enable Https aswell ...no joy.
Totally mystified.
Have even tried copying Mozilla Firefox Profile folder from Asus Pc and deleted the Dell pc Mozilla Firefox Profile folder contents and pasting the contents from Asus pc Profile folder into Dell Pc Mozilla Firefox Profile folder but this method i hoped would solve the error message but no joy.

There is obviously a setting somewhere which needs turning on or off or something got corrupted.

The only option is to do a fresh install of Windows 11 22H2 on Aspire pc as a test and if this works i'll have to do a fresh install of Windows 11 22H2 on Dell Pc...or use Pc Os Migration Software like EaseUs and clone Asus pc and install onto Dell pc which will wipe original Windows 11 OS and installed programs ..but there is no guarantee this method will work or get errors messages.

Hang on..light bulb moment..i'll ask a neighbour if he/she can enter the urls of the 2 sites and if they load ok on their pc or tablet then
there is a puzzling issue with Dell Pc and Aspire Pc.
Now if the 2 sites are shutdown i can understand but the sites work on Asus Pc and on my Iphone 13...which means the sites are not shutdown and still working.

Easy option..ask neighbour..and let you know the results.

Bye have a nice day.

In Firefox - open the Setting Menu - scroll down to button and click on Help - next select Troubleshoot Mode and restart FF. This will temporally revert FF to default - see if it works like that (if still doesn't - then at least you know it's not a FF setting).

Could the site actually be down and your main PC and iphone is viewing a cached version of it? Have you cleared your cache and cookies on the PC and iphone?

Hi thecaretaker,

No the sites are not cached as i use Glary Utilities on all 3 pc's to clean up pc' ie cookes, browsing history etc after i shutdown pc's.

The only thing i can think of is my main Asus pc could not upgrade to Windows 11 due to unsupported hardware but have upgraded to Windows 11 using workarounds.
As Asus pc is over 10 years old and may still have old network protocols being used while Dell Pc and Aspire Pc are 1 year old and have TPM and Secure Boot with pre-installed Windows 11 Home with more stricter network protocols to prevent accessing dodgy sites and may have blocked these 2 sites as dodgy.
Now, if i do a fresh install of Windows 11 22H2 on Asus pc the 2 sites probably will not load which will mean the sites have shutdown ie server not found and if i do ASUS pc clone of harddrive re-install on to Dell pc the sites will probably will not load either due to stricter network protocols.

...i do not want to this as i do not want to mess up my Asus pc or Dell pc or Aspire pc.

I will keep using Asus pc until it dies...but this is still running well until there will be time when sites will not load either on Asus Pc

Thanks for your help but i don't think there is solution.

Bye have a nice day.
