My laptop updated automatically to windows 11

Now my printer wont print does updating to windows 11 disconnect my printer

Also do I really need to have Norton security ?

no, it shouldn't. check settings > bluetooth & devices > printers & scanners and see if your printer shows. if it does, scroll down and disable "let windows manage default printer". if it doesn't, just readd it and then disable manage default printer so it stays as your default.

If it is a shared or network printer (not connecting locally via USB), then probably you have to make some changes in Registry to go back to the older authentication method.

- listed but not working
- no longer listed as a printer
- no longer listed and can't be installed

In any case, thread has gone cold, suspect OP has either solved or lost interest
