I'm experimenting with Macrium Restore validation using viBoot. This is my first experience of any VM.
Question: What is the absolutely earliest point during viBoot at which I can say that the Macrium Restore would be successful ?
My guess would be the point at which I can see my normal blue login screen in the VM, with "Choose an operating system", with two options:
- Windows 10
- System Recovery [boots Macrium]
This is not a frivolous question. I can arrive at the blue screen in VM very quickly. But the process after that takes about 6 minutes, doing stuff such as "Getting devices ready", and "Working with updates", and "Getting things ready", and "Getting Windows ready", and "Cleaning up 0% complete".
Of course, a validation time of 6 minutes is still a lot less than the time it would take to actually test an image using a genuine Restore.
Thanks
