Macrium Image Backup: How long does it take to create one?

Usually it will as writing uncompressed files normally takes a bit longer than compressing and writing image but it is not a 100% certainty.

Just for the fun of it, I cloned the same OS that took 4:26 to complete an image to a regular platter drive.
Cloned from the same machine but the target this time is an SSD. It took 22mins 40 sec to complete.

And just for speed comparison between cloning and imaging, running from the cloned OS that I just created, I restored the 4:26 image from my original post from HDD to the M.2 SSD, it took 4mins and 5sec. So from creating the image to restoring it, it takes a total of 8mins and 31 sec compared to 22mins and 40 sec using the clone method.
Cloning takes more than twice the time than imaging.

(It is the first day of Spring, so it makes sense to make a seasonal image backup. Create yours now and post your time... :giggle: )

Update:
System OS is installed on M.2 Gen 4 SSD (75GB/476GB). Image is written to a regular 7200rpm HDD.
Ryzen 9 3900X CPU. No overclock.

Gen 3 NVME 500GB to spinner HDD (WD Green, 5400rom) about half an hour to make 327GB .mrimg. With an average PC, it's all about writing performance of backup destination disk. that's by far greatest bottleneck. Write to a fast SSD and times will be slashed. Write to a slow NAS and it will take longer.
