I DM'd Brink a few hours ago to resolve the following:
Been having an issue with a Dell Latitude 5420 that's just 2 years old. As always Win11, Intel & Dell stuff is all always current.
I run Win Edge current; my HDMI output feeds my TV video & audio. I DON'T use Bluetooth. I connect to the 'net via built-in Intel 1G Ethernet & Intel WiFi. I use a Logitech wireless MX Keys and MX Mouse on a single Unifying USB adaptor.
THE ISSUE:
Very frequently, everything, or most hangs for 15 to as much as 60 seconds. IF I click the mouse or kybd when it returns, it'll work, maybe. Edge tabs changes might refresh, same for Settings. Whatever is causing it affects everything at once.
A RELATED ISSUE:
Much less frequently when it SEEMS all is well, I'll hear something like the sound an electric guitar makes when it has the cable to the amp plugged into it. A buzzing Hi Freq tone. Then it goes blank and reboots and the reboots fail more than often, requiring System Restore or Reset or Refresh. A HUGE PIA!!
I'm PRAYING that, if not you, someone here KNOWS what the problem is or is willing to help solve it.
As always, ANY help is greatly appreciated.
END

I had already known & used this tutorial but was trying to avoid having to restore date & reinstall my other apps after a clean OS install method. That's nearly as bad as installing Win3.1 from floppies on a 386 PC!
So, I took a closer look at
Dell SupportAssist OS Recovery
It's really simple for anyone who has ever been in their CMOS/BIOS.
But first check the MATRIX to ensure YOUR Dell PC is compatible.
To access it, first power off the PC. Then as soon as you push the power, press F12 and you'll see a flash of text in the top right, then release.
It takes about a minute to load the tools, all four, Update, Scan, Repair & Reset. Each has very clear options and Steps.
I used Scan and found no errors in 14-15 min. Then Repair OS in less than 20.
There is a full-on option to reinstall, but you could that with the method here. It does the exact same thing with the option to select Win10 or Win11.
Thank you once again, Brink.
