This tutorial will show you how to see all policies that are applied to Microsoft Edge in Windows 10 and Windows 11.

The Microsoft Edge web browser is based on Chromium and was released on January 15, 2020. It is compatible with all supported versions of Windows, and macOS. With speed, performance, best in class compatibility for websites and extensions, and built-in privacy and security features.

You can apply policies to Microsoft Edge to configure how Microsoft Edge runs and updated.

Microsoft Edge policy settings are saved to these registry keys:
  • Device (mandatory) = HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge
  • Device (recommended) = HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Edge\Recommended
  • Current User (mandatory) = HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Edge
  • Current User (recommended) = HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Edge\Recommended

Here's How:

1 Open Microsoft Edge.

2 Copy and paste edge://policy into the address bar of Microsoft Edge, and press Enter to open the Policies page. (see screenshot below)

Your applied policy settings on the local computer should appear immediately.

If Microsoft Edge was open while you were configuring policy settings, you will need to either click/tap on the Reload Policies button or close and reopen Microsoft Edge to refresh.

3 Uncheck the Show policies with no value box to only see applied policies.

4 You can click/tap on the link of any applied policies under Policy name to learn more about the policy.

That's it,
