Virus received and blocked by Avast almost every time I open Outlook

As Avast is fielding this I am not too concerned by this but I am puzzled. Where is it coming from? Avast says it is from me (my address) to me (again my address). See below.

Any way I can stop this. All the usual things are set in Outlook that block most things I don't want.

Yes, the message is in Spam and the virus has been dealt with by Avast, so no problem. Both Outlook and Avast are doing their job. I'm just surprised at the number - about 18 today alone.

Scripts they use, sender is you, essentially marking the email as spam could have consequences for your email address.
I’d wonder if all the actual emails (or domain) are the same? You would have to check the properties of the individual emails.

The steps I have taken haven't blocked any legitimate emails and hopefully they will stop in due course. And as I said Outlook and Avast are blocking the malicious content. I don;t know enough to be able to understand the data in Properties. They all claim to come from my address.
Bloody irritating though!

In that link, it tells you how to open the properties to view the headers. Scanning the content within can show domain and email origins, it can help to create a filter to possibly reject them. There is some reading involved. I don’t understand half of what is in the headers of an email but I can identify domains and addresses.
However, if you’re trust in Avast is confident, no need to worry. I agree, it is most irritating, @Sigurd

After about a week of maybe 20 a day they have now stopped. Never found a way to stop them.
