If you want the "clear" Taskbar, you need to do Part A "and" Part B
Part A gives the clear Taskbar only if you do it "with Part B.
In short.. Part B fixes what Microsoft broke on the Taskbar. It fixes "both" the Taskbar Size and if used, TranlucentTB.
Part B allows TanslucentTB (in Part A), and the Taskbar size registry tweak... to function.
If you don't use or plan to use TranslucentTB, then you don't need to worry about Part A.
This is the tutorial for the Taskbar Size. I didn't mention it, because it's been around for a while, and most everyone knows about it already.

Hi guys, after last windows update is still possible change taskbar size?
I have seen the part B of first post. It say to use Vivetool 0.3.2, now on the site i see only 0.3.3, is the same?
I have tried it but after i do vivetool /disable /id:26008830 it say that is not compatible with my windows version. Maybe i have to change the id? If yes where i can find the right one?

Don't now what Win version your using but I can vouch the Vivetool work around no longer works on the last two Windows Beta builds with Translucent TB. I'm currently on 22624.1537 and any time I disable id 26008830 it automatically re-enables on the reboot with the Vivetool GUI 1.6.2 version.

I changed the size (not the transparency) after the last update, see posts above. I probably used ViveTool v0.3.2, as Vivetool v0.3.3 seems to be a recent update.

I can vouch on my machine with Win ver 22621.1485 the STtest id 26008830 still stays disabled on reboot allowing my taskbar to be transparent. I haven't tried resizing the taskbar however so can't speak to that.

Same. TB is working perfectly fine on my build 22621.1485 install on my PC as well with the id disabled via ViveTool.

Oddly, I am running the latest Canary Build 25330 and TransluscentTB is working perfectly without using Vivetool or anything. I swear this was broken and not working just 2 days ago and I have not done anything to the installation since then. It just started to work. Go figure.

The Vivetool tweak still works on version 22621.1485
I have no way to test if it works for Windows in a different language. I also have no way to test if it works with "other" tweak tools in use. I only use Winaero Tweaker and this Vivetool Tweak.

It just seems like it's a lot of nonsense.
It's really pretty easy.
Keep in mind that the need for vivetool will pop up again and again, as long as MS keeps doing weird things.
I've already got a list of about 4-5 vivetool ID numbers. I'm sure there will be more.
