ViveTool fix for TranslucentTB and for Taskbar size

@OAT is correct.
It seems you skipped step #3 in the Part B directions.
The files in the .ZIP you downloaded in step #1 have to be IN the C:\zvive folder, for the vivetool command to work.


I hate to type. So every word in those directions is important.
You can't "skip" any of the steps.

The previous posts talked about making the taskbar transparent, not smaller. I didn't understand the last comment or even realised it was relevant. Maybe somebody can explain in simpler terms. l'll recheck the folder, but I'm sure it's in there.

If you want the "clear" Taskbar, you need to do Part A "and" Part B

Part A gives the clear Taskbar only if you do it "with Part B.
In short.. Part B fixes what Microsoft broke on the Taskbar. It fixes "both" the Taskbar Size and if used, TranlucentTB.

Part B allows TanslucentTB (in Part A), and the Taskbar size registry tweak... to function.
If you don't use or plan to use TranslucentTB, then you don't need to worry about Part A.



This is the tutorial for the Taskbar Size. I didn't mention it, because it's been around for a while, and most everyone knows about it already.

Ok. My bad. I was in the PowerShell, not the Command Prompt. Vivetool is now working and I have my small taskbar back.

It didn't on mine. Black screen was the result.
With Explorer being a UAWP on Canary, not too surprising.
