VMware Workstation Pro or Oracle VM VirtualBox?
Which one should i use for Windows/Linux (Guest)? VMware Workstation Pro have better 3D-Acceleration. I don't like Hyper-V.

Even the term better is subjective. What does that mean (easier to use, free or pro, more reliable, most supported etc.)?

When I started using virtual machines, I tried both options, and VMware was the best in every way.
Perhaps the only reason people recommend VirtualBox is because it is open source.

But - it gets its knickers into a twist if you have multiple (i.e dynamically expanding) virtual disks and mouse / other stuff goes bonkers.
Also running vmware workstation on Linux hosts often fails after a linux update as it needs to find the Linux kernel headers to complete setup - and if you are using latest kernels the setup fails !!!.
As far as the GUI is concerned that's an individual preference of course. Remember though BOTH are TYPE 2 systems -- HYPER-V is far better on Windows (although much less flexible) and KVM/QEMU on Linux - both beat Vmware WKS and Oracle's Virtual Box habnds down.

That's like applying complex statistical analysis of even a basic standard deviation from just 2 results in the dataset !!
However I agree with you -- these days with decent hardware just try both -- you don't even have to run them concurrently either although you can do it if your hardware is OK.
Your point though about "make your own mind up" pre-supposes that they still have functioning minds -- most people I seem to see who are under the age of about 30 don't realize that phones actually have an OFF switch, irritate people beyond measure on public transport by not turning off the really irritating "keyboard click" on their phones while entering data --you can actually on almost all phones quiesce this hideous noise- and often don't even bother to use headphones while listening to content.
Anyway again I agree with you!!

I prefer VMWare Workstation but which one you prefer is highly subjective. Like already said best practice would be to try them both and then decide.
