Currently the MCT tool provides Windows 11 26200.8037.

As of today's update KB5083769 (26200.8246), I need to repair a system with using a install.wim file version 26200.8246.

Is it possible to update the 26200.8037 install.wim file to 26200.8246? Or where can I get the current install.wim 26200.8246 file?

I would assume:
Since it's brand new and was released today (4/14/2026), that Microsoft hasn't yet implemented it in the MCT tool for it to be downloaded yet.

I'd give it a few hours, to maybe a few days, until the MCT tool can fetch the latest version.

Isos are available next week. However, you can download the correct version from uupdump and generate an iso for yourself and that will contain the 26200.8246 wim file.

If KB5083769 (OS Build 26200.8246) was successfully installed via Windows Update, you can perform a repair install of Windows 11 using Windows Update.

"Fix problems using Windows Update" reinstalls the exact version and build of Windows currently installed, not just the base feature version. It does not remove any files, settings, or apps.

Option One: Repair Install Windows 11 using Windows Update

The person I was helping was doing all the repairs with DISM.

I never used this method until now. Thanks. Got the install.wim file. Took about an hour to run.

UUPDump takes a while to build ISOs, especially when it has to slipstream multiple updates into whatever base image it's using. That's the case, for sure, with getting to a clean 26200.8246 image. But IMO it's worth the wait. UUPDump has saved my butt many times over the years. Here's to @Kari, who turned me on to this incredibly useful capability nearly 10 years ago.
