Hi,

I gotta W11 debloat xml file, which is for gamers, stripped of almost most apps.

Do I need to acquire the services of a Linux expert to edit, modify it to my needs?

Hoping to hear your expert recommendations.

Thanks.

Not sure why you would need a linux expert to modify an XML file, but whatever.

Is there a reason you are feeling it necessary or adventageous to run a script from an outside source to disable system functionality and apps? I assume you are trying to get some type of significant performance gain, but honestly I think in many times all of these changes lead to potential system instability, they potentially slow down the system as things need to get run that would have already been running from a normal bootup, etc.

I really don't think it's necessary these days on relatively modern hardware to jump through hoops to try to remove stuff. I think you are just asking for trouble.

Best advice is "Don't"!

Most of the scripts are a waste of time - just make sure you have stopped unnecessary apps at boot time from Task Manager and Task Scheduler etc. Do regular disk cleanups etc.

This forum and others are littered with posts who used scripts and found they do not always work out as planned. Worse, you may not be able to reinstate things later.

If you do not understand the script, do not use it.

If you do use it, make sure you have proper backups.

I have tried the so call Windows Lite versions as an experiment, and could not detect any significant performance difference.
