W11 install with unsupported CPU - Use a VM

Hi folks
If your computer fails on "Unsupported CPU" it's possible if you can specify a "Virtual CPU" of a type that works in a VM then W11 installs just fine.

Any VM software that allows some sort of specifying a "vCPU" which passes is OK rather than rely on the actual physical topography of the Real CPU.

No need to mess around with registry or other hacks in this case. (And the VM will update OK via WU as well). I think this is also possible in Hyper-V. Not sure about VMWare or Vbox though.

I don't know i always used VMware no problems for me also you can enable Hyper-V in Home edition of Windows 10 and Windows 11.

This guide will teach you the steps to enable or disable Hyper-V on Windows 10 Home and Windows 11 Home.

that's not the issue here -- I'm talking about Unsupported CPU's !!!

I think HYPER-V can do some sort of vCPU selection too -- HYPER-V nice and fast -- especially on a W22server Host (free trial for 180 days and can with /slmgr extend for 6 times so a good way too).

With Rufus you can create Windows 11 bootable flash drive to bypass those restrictions.

Whilst perusing web, I discovered how to enable HyperV in Home and it as surprisingly easy. WARNING - Make an image backup first before doing this - I accept no responsibility if this goes wrong. Firstly, (obviously) bios has to be set for virtualisation.
